Design has become such a big part of my life and I can’t see myself in a career that does not involve it. My mind views everything in this world by its visual composition. I guarantee you that if you take one car ride with me you will hear me yell at a billboard because of its poor layout. I will then continue to tell you what should have been done. I will not buy anything with an unappealing label. If I do not like a website’s layout, I exit the site even if I need the content on it. Most anyone who has been in my company has heard me complain about the ugly color and design my classmates picked for our powderpuff football shirts. As strange and insignificant as most of this may seem, it’s just how my mind works. It’s constantly in designer mode probably due to the countless hours I’ve spent throughout the past few years working on a graphic, editing a picture, or designing a layout for a website. Everything I know about design has been self taught. That has had it’s pros and cons, but overall it’s brought me to a good place. It’s brought about a lot of frustration but my passion for it has kept me going. And now I’m so ready to move onto college and take formal classes. I want to continue with graphic design and learn as much as possible about it.
