Me
In short, I’m Anna and I love music. I’m currently a college student working to becoming a graphic designer. Most of my free time is spent attending concerts, reading books, or surfing the internet. I really love Great Britain and Ireland. Soccer is the only sport I care about. Oh, and I drink a lot of milk.

The Site
At different points in my childhood I gained interest in journalism, web design, and photography; just not together and not with music. When high school came around and I fell in love with music, I put it all together and this site was born. MLM went through several different forms before I decided to keep it as a press outlet for my photography, interviews, etc. The name “Misery Loves Me” comes from a song by Fall Out Boy. I was listening to their album “From Under the Cork Tree,” the day it was released and the line, “This is the way they’d love if they knew how misery loved me,” grabbed my attention. I turned “loved” to “loves” and made it my domain. After a year or so of running the site I considered changing it when Good Charlotte came out with the song “Misery” which happened to have the line “Don’t you know this misery loves me.” I felt that was a sign to keep it. The lyric phrase has several different meanings to me but my choice to use it for a domain name was simply because of that initial appeal I had to it. It’s “catchy” and relates to music which is the main focus on my site.
